Dr. Iacobellis is a board certified dermatologist from New York City, where he was in private practice for more than forty years. During this same time, Dr. Iacobellis has also been an associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
He earned an undergraduate degree from College of the Holy Cross and a medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Iacobellis completed an internship in medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York and a fellowship in Immunology and Dermatology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Rounding out his professional education, Dr. Iacobellis completed a dermatology residency at Cornell University Medical School, where he was selected as Chief Resident in his final year. Following his residency, Dr. Iacobellis served as a Lieutenant commander in the United States Navy.
Dr. Iacobellis is a member of several medical associations and societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, Society of Pediatric Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Flying Physicians Association.
Tony Adar, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon, who keeps his patients looking and feeling great at MDCS: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, with locations in Manhattan, Hampton Bays, Commack, Plainview, and Smithtown, New York.
Dr. Adar earned his medical degree in the clinical neuroscience pathway from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, where he graduated magna cum laude and in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Adar pursued post-graduate training in New York City, completing an internship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan and a dermatology residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He completed his fellowship training in *Mohs micrographic and cosmetic surgery* in Birmingham, Alabama under internationally-renowned Mohs and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Monheit at Total Skin and Beauty Dermatology. He holds certification from the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Adar is active in his field and enjoys membership in a number of professional societies, such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Over the years, he’s received numerous awards, authored multiple publications, and given a variety of lectures and presentations.
When he’s not in the MDCS office, Dr. Adar is passionate about giving back to the community. He’s participated in numerous programs to provide free dermatological screenings to underprivileged communities and has organized and assisted numerous iterations of Anatomy Education Day at SUNY, where he educates underrepresented high school students on medical careers.
Dr. Adar also enjoys Shotokan karate, soccer, basketball, fitness, travel, and nutrition. In addition to English, he’s fluent in Georgian and Russian, and speaks basic Spanish.
Sahar Y. Naseer, MD, is a talented dermatologist at MDCS Dermatology in Smithtown and Hampton Bays, New York. With her extensive background in research, she brings fresh ideas to the table for each of her patients’ treatment plans. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, she was selected to be a part of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society due to her skills and achievements.
Dr. Naseer earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she graduated with honors in 2009. She then moved south to Washington, DC, to attend Georgetown University for her master’s degree in biophysiology. After completing it in just one year, she moved to New York to earn her medical degree through The State University of New York Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Buffalo University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
After finishing her formal education, Dr. Naseer continued training with a pediatric preliminary year at Cohen Children’s Medical Center/Northwell Health in Queens, New York. For her postgraduate year two, she moved back to Buffalo, New York, for a dermatology residency. She continued with another dermatology residency at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Naseer’s many awards and distinguishments across her education, training, and budding career speak for themselves. She earned multiple awards at Buffalo University for her excellence in research and earned the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate of Commendation. At MDCS, she continues to stand out as an outstanding leader and treats her patients with kindness and compassion.
When she isn’t in the office assessing skin conditions or educating patients on how to care for their skin, Dr. Naseer loves to spend her time traveling, swimming to stay in shape, and improving her cooking skills.
Regina Yavel, MD, FACMS, FAAD is a board certified and fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon, is a graduate of Brown University and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Yavel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American College of Mohs Surgery.
